Cartagena de Indias is located in the Caribbean area of Colombia, and it is known as the most important tourist destination of the country. In 1984 the walled city and fortress of Cartagena were designated a world heritage site by UNESCO.
The objective was to generate contemporary architecture in a colonial city in compliance with codes and context to accomplish unity between past and present without losing the city’s heritage.
