Many architectural projects in their formative stages are sculpted around a precise grid system. In most traditional architecture, these systems are created with specifically measured perpendicular lines that express most environments in square or rectangular configurations. More audacious regulatory arrangements can utilize atypical grids with repeating geometric shapes like triangles, rhombus, hexagons, and circles that express spaces in impressively divergent orientations.

This project celebrated its organizational structure before a single wall was ever conceived. Every measurement, tectonic, window, and angle adhered to a complex schematic that was separated into 1’x1’x1’ equilateral triangles. All spaces articulated were merely amplifications or multiplications of these simple recurrent geometries. The home integrates an elegant open floor plan design philosophy that utilizes minimalist separation of volumes and uninterrupted circulation.
