Brooklyn, NY
The building sits in the “Los Castillejos” Farm at the top and west of the River Ucero Valley between Barcebalejo and El Burgo de Osma in Soria. Inside the property the house is strategically located to serve as control and observation tower. The architecture stands in front of the daring nature as does a lighthouse on the coast or a control tower in the forest. The first sketches SADAA made years ago were based on Konstantinidi’s Greek houses combined with the traditional courtyards in Castilian noble houses. We designed a central double height space to organize the rest of the rooms around in search of specific orientations or views of the surroundings.
