I designed a recreational center as a new building for the campus of Tarbiat Modares university. This recreation place was created as a gathering place to encourage students to spend their leisure time there.
The central concept of design was creating a unique form that would be distinctive from similar buildings on the campus, which would attract students there.
Inspired by the traditional Persian courtyards, I designed semi-open areas in the center. I also created a habitable roof which provided an opportunity for having a temporary exhibition for students.
For the material, I followed the brick standard in Iran. I was also inspired by the famous Architect of Iran, Hooman Balazadeh, to create a perforated texture for ventilation and light exposure.
