Located in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Belgrano, the Modelle Plaza building gives closure to a singularity of the urban fabric such as a square.
Our response was to confront it by giving it a frame, a closure and not "turn" the corner. This means that all the units have a privileged participation in this space. The resolution of the two facades of the building focuses on evidencing a game of oppositions, spaces and forms. The facade on Ciudad de la Paz, facing Plaza Noruega, is permeable, discontinuous, chaotic, three-dimensional and predominantly transparent. The façade on Mendoza, on the other hand, is compact, continuous, orderly, flat and predominantly opaque. The building ends with a series of volumes that emerge from the stairwell and determine the water tank.
