The U.S. Embassy Sarajevo and Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) had a requirement for maintenance and repairs on the existing New Office Building (NOB) Chancery protected membrane roof and related roof components. Lenka was responsible for overseeing the Construction Administration phase of a flat roof full replacement. She was responsible to report to DOT/OBO directly in the form of a daily report, that included time lined photographs, summary of completed work percentage, and plan diagrams. The existing roof membrane was two-ply asphalt modified bitumen.
This project involved existing conditions investiga on such as tracking roof leakage from the roof into the spaces below including office spaces and boiler room. Coordination with building engineers, facility management, and general contractor was required to determine the cause of leakage. Design solutions were presented to OBO representatives for approval to proceed.
