To design a Community Housing for the low, middle and upper middle class income group of Marwadi Community in an area called Kabutarkhana, Hyderabad. The program targetted people of all groups and having various professions like pan-sopari shops, jewelry antique-artifacts shop, oil business and service jobs as their prime occupation. The program included 24 residential and about 6 shops+Residential units for families of 5,8 and 10 members.
Mixed housing of Marwadi families with different income levels and profession. Family sizes are of 6, 8 and 10 members. Spaces are designed in an introvert manner considering the orthodox rituals of Marwadi family. Thought of subterranean to provide introvert planning. By doing so, the privacy of the women of the house was kept intact. Also the lower ground floor was kept busy with family activities happening at that level.
