"The Hinduja hospital, a landmark institute in healthcare, was designed to be an efficient, patient-friendly hospital in the heart of the city."
The Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai is one of the city’s most reliable and strategically located multi-speciality medical institutions. Completed in 1980, the
10,219-sq.m hospital has been designed for extreme flexibility to keep pace with the ever-improving technology. It has large spans on the lower floors to allow for a flexible use of space. At any point of time the walls can be altered to accommodate new facilities. The complete services of medical gases, electrical and plumbing systems have been strategically placed externally and is accessible from outside the building, ensuring that the working of the hospital is never disturbed.
Nurse stations are planned centrally in order to reduce the time required to reach patient rooms and minimize fatigue. The human flow is further made seamless by creating separate streams of circulation for patients, staff etc., thereby ensuring effective treatment and care.
