The project explored the idea of a defined perimeter and how to achieve porosity and street integration within a housing complex for 300 units. The block is open to the neighborhood allowing for circulation and also clearly defining the edges of the site. The interlocking of volumes throughout the city block creates bridges and cantilevers that releases the ground level creating a second layer of community program. The fourth level becomes important structurally, supporting hanging volumes, and also configuring a different use for the residents and the community.
