Rammed Earth Getaway

In a remote part of the New Mexican High Desert sits a studio getaway

literally built from the earth. This tiny, rammed earth getaway was
built for a private couple wishing to lose themselves among the pinon
bushes. Offset curved roof overhang to shade in summer and let light in
winter. Full-height windows on the south to capture light and heat,
the rammed earth also acting as a heatsink. No air conditioning, the
only heat being a wood stove. Operable northern windows for light and
ventilation.
