Atelier Freire is a space that is attached to the terrace of the highest apartment of an existing building. It configures a covered and semi-covered place to inhabit an area of the house that, due to the strong incidence of sun and wind, was the most inhospitable in the house.
The work is built in steel framing, a lightweight construction system that is anchored to the reinforced concrete structure of the pre-existing building.
Terraces are spaces to be lived in and this work represents a way of doing so.
