Traditional Chongqing is famous as a mountain city. Rolling terrain and multi-dimensional space are the exclusive architectural vocabulary for the mountain city. But modern Chongqing has become a steel forest full of high-rise buildings. The efficient traffic and advanced technology not only result in people’s laziness and lack of exercise but also lead to the loss of traditional context. With the purpose of responding to the historical context of the site and improving physical health, this design selects “Mountain Climbing” as the theme. The site is located in Jiangbei District. To keep the unique temperament of the mountain city, the project approaches from space experience to attract people to the mountain trails to experience a micro-mountain city.
