About

Bhumika is an optimist. It helps her build resiliency and achieve her goals and achieving goals related to architecture means exploring and mediating between multiple intelligences. She find this enthralling and the challenges she face on a daily basis as a designer only heighten the appreciation she feels.

To her, a design project is more than a series of materials and structural elements that are placed perfectly to create a space of aesthetic and practical value. It involves empathy and thought. Every project, no matter how small, is worth the same dedication and analysis that one would apply to a space for him or herself. At the end of the day, we as architects care for the people who depend on the spaces we create to impact their daily lives.

Sustainability is integral to the built environment and the lives of it's inhabitants. For the most part, the building industry is dynamically conservative - it works hard to stay in the same place. Architecture is an essential arena for sustainable innovation and Bhumika would take any opportunity to reduce the overall impact of the built environment on human health and the natural environment.
