-A Mixed-use commercial/retail transit center in the Boyle Heights District of Los Angeles, CA

My focus for this thesis project was to develop an urban infrastructural program that could impact local residents and industries of the Boyle Heights and Arts District communities near Downtown Los Angeles. My mission was to develop a program that will promote livability, accessibility, identity, opportunity, imagination, culture and public life for all people in the community.

During this research, I observed how Los Angeles’ urban context consists of many different elements such as people, infrastructure, fabric, body, mind and soul. I believe that elements of architectural & urban design in Los Angeles draws together multiple strands of place-making, environmental stewardship, economic viability and social equity into the formation of places with distinct identity and beauty.
