About

I am a versatile designer, project manager, and brand strategist with significant experience in masterplanning, single- and multi-family residential, retail environments, community institutions, and exhibitions.  Much of my recent work has focused on Residential and Commercial Passive House design, and I am a Certified Passive House Designer.

My interests have always gravitated toward the ecologically-sensitive, and are shifting increasingly toward public works, infrastructure, and product design, as I believe that architects and designers can be most reliably effective when applying their talents and intuition toward the fulfillment of data-supported desires of zeitgeist and of ecological imperative.

Throughout my education and personal research, I have found inspiration in found objects, and have mused over novel tectonics arising from the serendipitous geometric compatibility that often occurs among manufactured products painstakingly engineered for unrelated purposes.  My passion for manufactured artifacts has attuned me to the embodied energy, net carbon footprint, and environmental toxicity of manufactured goods, particularly building materials, and I advocate, whenever possible, for the use of reclaimed, renewable, and universally non-toxic materials for construction.

My leisure time is spent running, cycling, and exploring nature, in search of wisdom and inspiration.
