Urban Amenities Architecture Contest

Architects, Engineers, Artists, Designers and students from all around the country were invited to participate in the Urban Amenities Architecture Contest with projects that propose solutions to the public theme in an important area of the city of Caracas, Venezuela. Participants were encouraged to submit proposals that solved the main challenge that the country is facing that is “Right to the City”, coming up with architectural, construction and urban solutions. It was free to join, open to everyone that wished to create urban public spaces that generate common grounds for diverse, public participation. Places of social interaction, recreation, cultural activities, political activities, and many other public events enhancing the quality of urban life. Only team works were allowed to participate as a collective ensuring the development of architectural team work around the country. The place of intervention were a plenty of spaces towards the Bolivar Avenue of Caracas that will serve the city and the buildings disposed there as the result of a government strategy to solve the housing problem on the country.
