4.4 :: Q: What do the groundhog and my thesis have in common?

A: Both come out of hiding today! And both tell us something about climate (although I think I've done more research...)

    Dear friends, Happy Groundhog Day!

I decided last year to create a "learning tool" for my Master's thesis in Building Science; my goal was to teach people about alternative ways to save energy in their home, based on their climate. I've mentioned it several times on my blog here before, and, well, I think it's ready for everyone to try out. Specifically I hope you'll try out the "green your home" tool, and take the survey (linked to at the bottom of each page) - I promise it won't take long, and then you can go back to Archinecting, working on your portfolio, looking for a job, etc.

My apologies if you may have seen this in one of the other 15 places I am posting it...clearly, I am hoping for a lot of feedback. And in this forum, if anyone has any suggestions for making my CSS cleaner, feel free to comment below.

Thanks for your help! And please pass it on...

wow! so what's the next step?

(most green roofs don't use 'sod' - too much maintenance and irrigation required by turf grasses. we can work on appropriate planting lists for the different climate zones.)

also discuss creating natural habit with green roofs and plants on walls.

emK- I'd love to see a matrix of all solutions arranged by region to compare and contrast strategies.
