This second year project was guided by Mario Cipresso in the Spring of 2008. 

The design problem was situated within Los Angeles’ downtown urban fabric off 3rd street and Main. The objective of my design was to maintain light and air access to the surrounding buildings while controlling light to the sensitive film library spaces. 

The resulting skin system that wraps the building is punctuated by reading rooms on the west face. To the north, the administrative tower and main theatre create the distinctive facade on 3rd street.
