I was born and raised in Silesia, Poland, a region of heavy industry - coal mines and steel works, which had a major impact on my architecture and urban planning interest. Living within a degraded environment made me particularly sensitive to ecological problems and the role that architecture plays to help.
Revitalization and rehabilitation in urban matter became one of my interests during my school years, resulting in me having earned my Master’s Degree project in Silesian University of Technology (Gliwice, Poland) that focused on revitalization of city centered areas in Chorzow, Poland, my hometown. (2007)
My professional adventure with architecture started with an internship with Frederic Schwartz Architects, a NY based firm. As a freelancer, I worked with other firms on small scale projects like interior design and shop drawings for Interior Masters Group or product design, branding and shop drawings for Concrete Shop.
Recently, I have started exploring my new passion for ceramics and gardening. As a mother, I have begun to appreciate small things and objects that surround us and make our lives pleasant
and complete. Designing and working in my garden made me more sensitive to our connection with nature, whereas pottery, the art of creating vessels, to me, seems to be very close to architecture, that creates vessels for living.
