A recent graduate (Syracuse University, BArch, Cum Laude), I'm a passionate & meticulous student of architecture, currently working in New York City.
With a strong background in leadership & teamwork stemming from my years as a committed athlete (serving as captain to 7 teams in high school & recruited for college soccer), I’ve since transferred my focus & determination into a strong work ethic that’s allowed me to succeed in my academic career. My all-or-nothing nature has led me to undertake projects with which I’ve had no previous familiarity, gaining knowledge & expertise along-the-way through self-education & resourcefulness. For example, I decided to build an electric guitar from scratch as an independent project in high school, without ever having touched one before. I've since taught myself the instrument over the past 7 years, & it's become a great passion of mine.
Since graduating high school, I’ve worked in both large (60+ employees) & small (1-2 employees) firms, each of which has granted me opportunities to participate in team-based project delivery, design-build practice experience, & increased individual responsibility. My professional talents ranging from drafting efficiency, modeling craft, & graphic design paired with my knack for electronics & program proficiency has granted me a powerful skill-set to offer potential employers.
After my acceptance to the program in 2006, I’ve also spent time outside of the classroom working with the Clinton Global Initiative, participating in programs in New Orleans where I worked with Brad Pitt helping to restore the Lower 9th Ward, & NYC where I’ve assisted with the organization’s annual meetings where world business leaders & heads of state meet to address pressing global issues.
In my free time, I love sports (cycling, soccer, triathlon) & the outdoors (hiking, kayaking, nordic + downhill skiing) as well as photography, reading, drawing, & building.
