The next phase in urban landscape at the Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design raises it up from the expected plane and into the vertical context of the surrounding campus and city at large. This proposal explores the possibilities of how this lifted landscape might be integrated into both the building and the student body which inhabits it, providing an informative mode of experimentation for the school. The concept seeks to reflect the values inherent in the faculty’s interdisciplinary identity within its own home, and to present these values of conscientious design, sustainability, and social responsibility to the city of Toronto.
