A modern take on the traditional craftsman style, this thoughtfully designed home transformed a limited lot into a captivating residence by seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor spaces offering an open, airy, and welcoming atmosphere.

This project involved demolishing the existing 1,068 SF single-story residence and replacing it with a 2,043 SF two-story single-family dwelling designed to open up front and back, seamlessly connecting the interior with the natural beauty of the surroundings. By integrating the craftsman architectural elements renowned for their aesthetic appeal and skilled craftsmanship, we ensure a timeless yet modern aesthetic. Rich wooden finishes, intricate detailing, and large windows harmoniously merge the interior with the natural environment, enhancing the sense of space.

The heart of this new dwelling is its open floor plan, encompassing the living, kitchen, and dining areas on the ground floor. Floor-to-ceiling windows span the length of both ends, erasing boundaries between the indoors and the outdoors. In this fluid design, our goal is to create an unobstructed visual corridor from the backyard to the beach, invoking a sense of perpetual connection to the tranquil waters beyond.

Despite the limitations of the lot size, our design prioritizes the fusion of indoor and outdoor living. A strategically positioned courtyard becomes a central focal point, serving as an extension of the living areas. This innovative approach allows for a seamless transition between the interior and the outdoors, creating an illusion of expansiveness while preserving privacy.

This 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom dwelling offers a master bedroom upstairs, providing privacy and serenity. The master suite boasts a private balcony that offers panoramic ocean views and a walk-in closet that provides ample storage space. Landscaping, walkways, and raised decks seamlessly integrate the natural surroundings into the architectural narrative.
