About

At an early age I became conscious of my sensitivity to architectural environments. Texture, smell, light and shadows, colors and scale guided me towards a professional path that I cherish and respect. I aim to produce work that expresses that the environments which we conceive embody humanism, becoming integrated in our culture as impactful entities.

In recent years I have conceived and developed design iterations for more than 30 projects in diverse typologies. I have generated creative solutions in historic preservation, additions, mixed use, urban design, institutional, entertainment, low-income housing, community welfare institutions, hospitality, retail, high-rise, multi-family and high-end residential . My experience includes the composition of  historic reports and feasibility studies, concise and compelling design proposals, drawing sets, presentations, material boards and zoning analyses for municipal review boards and stakeholder approval. I have demonstrated leadership in a wide range of team building activities and office operation initiatives in diverse tasks such as the introduction of new materials, marketing and company website development, AIA awards submissions, sustainability, office practices, social responsibility and ethics, technology and working environment. I also engaged materials and system providers focusing on sustainability. in addition, I enjoy conceptual and finished visualization, Photoshop post-production, composition of elevations and project language boards utilizing abstraction, collage, ideas and writing in lieu of Pinterest-style boards showing existing buildings.

Other experience:
-Building and site planning with understanding of the perspective of clients and city approval boards.
-Development of RFQ proposals.
-Design development and construction documentation, shop drawings, specifications.
-Coordination with contractor, consultants and vendors, RFC, RFI communication

Throughout the design process I avoid the utilization of collected imagery of existing buildings with the mere intention of reinterpretation. Material, application, color and artwork collages facilitate originality in my work. I do not rely in professional rendering to appreciate a building’s scale and quality. Potent generative AI is a recent tool that I have experimented with, to complement process and image.
