SOM Graphics is seeking a senior environmental graphic designer to join our team. The candidate must possess strong, conceptual, analytical, visual communication skills and proven experience in field of environmental graphic design. The position requires the ability to design in 3D, using digital tools such as AutoCad, Revit, and 3-D rendering software as well as the Adobe suite. An appreciation and awareness of materials, substrates, production and dimensional fabrication methods is required.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Playing a senior role in the studio
  • Be a point of contact with clients
  • Assist in all phases of project planning and implementation including concept design, design development, construction documents, bidding and fabrication for wayfinding/signage and graphic/branding projects in the studio.


  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a related design field (Architecture, Graphic Design, Industrial Design)
  • Minimum 5 years professional experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel nationally and possibly internationally if needed.

This position is full time and will be based in San Francisco, California.
