QUALIFICATIONS

  • Accredited degree in architecture
  • Licensed Architect
  • Ten or more years of professional experience, including extensive and complete project management experience on multiple high-end custom residential projects of significant scope
  • Demonstrated and thorough knowledge of technical issues, design, and techniques in Type V construction
  • Excellent verbal, written and graphic communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively direct the work of junior staff members
  • Demonstrated CAD proficiency; extensive 3D modeling or BIM experience a plus (ArchiCAD preferred)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with clients, Principal and/or Associate Principal to establish project design direction
  • Lead the development of the design, working in collaboration with the Principal and/or Associate Principal and the rest of the internal and external design team
  • Lead and oversee the development of all details and coordination with project consultants & contractors
  • Oversee and direct junior staff members in the production, organization and coordination of the virtual building model and all documents in the drawing set as required for presentations, agency approvals and construction
  • Develop and manage budget and schedule, organize workflow and anticipate required staff resources
  • Specify all materials, products and systems
  • Attend job site meetings and oversee submittal review, supplemental instructions, RFI responses, etc. during Construction Administration
  • Coach and mentor junior staff, share experiences and lessons learned to increase the firm’s common knowledge
