To reproduce a similar experience as when walking through a forest Aalto used a spacial layering concept. Concept is based on experiencing chapel as when walking in the woods, where is light which enables perception of forest’s continious depth. Alone in the deep forest, sun as honour – image that present the main concept. Columns imitate the woods, while natural light gives all the spirit to the space.
