PG&E San Francisco Offices and Service Centers

As an example of our extensive services in commercial and retail design and engineering services, we have an ongoing contract with Pacific Gas and Electric. One of the many retail fronts and offices we design for our client is shown.

Interactive Resources provided architectural design and engineering services for the remodel of several Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) Customer Service Offices (CSO) and Service Centers (SC) throughout California.  CSO lobbies were remodeled with upgraded digital features, payment kiosks, web zone information centers, waiting areas, and height adjustable teller stations. Finishes were modernized and accented with artwork fitting the local region.  High-volume centers were outfitted with digitized ticketing systems and fixed seats.  Low-volume CSO’s accommodated line-ups and counter service desks.  Offices were improved to provide site improvements, accessible access to the building and within the lobby, including low writing surfaces, wheelchair seating areas, and accessible teller stations.

Interactive Resources provided comprehensive programming, space planning, and architectural design for employee work areas (SC), ten to twenty thousand square feet in size.  As many as twelve different departments (telecommunications, renewable energy, gas, electric, distribution, metering, maintenance, corrosion repair, compliance, support services, development, public outreach, and customer services departments) were housed under one roof, each with different needs for work areas, coordination, planning, security, operation, and storage.  Existing business offices were modified for a more efficient use of space and accessibility code compliance.  Private offices were converted into open work areas and cubicles were outfitted with the latest technological features and ergonomic design.  “Focus rooms”, “Huddle rooms”, and conference rooms were designed to accommodate private conversations, small team meetings, and larger presentations plus teleconferences.  Break room, restrooms, and support spaces were modified as necessary.
