They were shining at me in the sun! I couldnt just leave them. I think they need a new lease of life.
Im toying with the idea of using an aeroplane wing as a table top. Ive seen it before and it looks stunning
definitely of a certain time, but not industrial so much as late 60s/early 70s corporate modern. i'd say the chrome is part of what makes them special.
I think they could look nice with a dark, grainy solid wood top. I think that would make them not look 70s corporate at all. They could be great, nice find.
how about a plank of douglas fir or maple with the bark on the ends, but cut diagonally to give a pencil edge (maybe 1/4" face). Nice legs but seem more like 70s office furniture, no offense, nonetheless an excellent find
Do you know modern furniture?
Good morning,
Im new to the forum I would like your advice on some table legs that Im trying to identify.

I found these at University, they were being thrown away. I thought they were too good for that, Im thinking of getting a glass top made for them.
The shafts are 80mm dia and are stainless steel whereas the feet are cast aluminium. There are no stamps or names identifying them that I can see. Any ideas??
nice find. i don't know them, but def worth using i'd say.

well, you'll just have to cross your fingers and hope for a nice plan crash in your vicinity.
i would recommend a surfboard unless you have a very large living room.
Doesnt have to be a whole wing!

it looks too clunky to be "modern"
there seems to be no refinement...
I agree they aren't delicate but the detail in how they are made and the quality of materials is very nice.
I think I will go down the glass top route. Dark wood might give a Deco feel, which could also look good. Maybe I'll post a pic when its done. Thanks.
