I just thought it was a funny little quote is all. I think everyone in our profession has had this experience at one point. I wasn't really commenting on the work culture of my firm in particular.
Right now I'm in the middle of a very painful VE phase on a project. Both we and the contractor apparently forgot to tell our client that we don't, in fact, control the economy, building department, or time itself.
Jovan, I wish you a good christmas or whatever holiday you celebrate at this time of the year and a good new years. I will be enjoying the break from the last couple of weeks.
