AXP (IDP) Hours outside the US

thompson's gazelle

Recently switched offices and trying to figure out the hours for the AXP (former IDP).

The issue here is there is no one licensed in the states here. If I'm remembering things correctly, there used to be a way you can earn up to half the required hours in a setting without an architect registered in the states.

Tried to figure out this looking at the new AXP guideline from NCARB, but cannot find the specific conditions relating to this. Anyone familiar with this kind of situation? Please let me know.

Its on the AXP guidelines-

"OTHER WORK EXPERIENCE UNDER LICENSED PROFESSIONALS You may earn up to 1,860 hours for working in any combination of the following employment settings: • Direct supervision by an AXP supervisor licensed as an architect in a U.S. or Canadian jurisdiction in an organization not engaged in the practice of architecture. • Direct supervision by an architect not registered in the United States/Canada engaged in the practice of architecture outside of the United States or Canada. • Direct supervision by a landscape architect or registered engineer (practicing as a structural, civil, mechanical, fire protection, or electrical engineer in the field of building construction)."
