Exit access stairways can serve the amount of the occupant load they are designed to serve. They only exist to get you to the Interior Exit Stairways or the Exit.

IBC 2012 - Interior Exit Stairways & Exit Access Stairways
I'm not a wordy guy like some of you folk......so the question is.....
Section 1009.....Can Exit Access Stairways serve 50% of my occupant load or is that solely dedicated to Interior Exit Stairways?
