Design/Build Workshop in Ghana

Archinect community,

Myself and 2 of my peers at Columbia’s GSAPP are in the process of putting together a summer workshop to build a cast earth structure in Ghana from May-July this summer.  We are currently looking for financial support in the form of Kickstarter donations and volunteers to come to Ghana and be involved in the construction.

The project was initially created for the 2014 Mud House competition run by the NKA Foundation, a Ghanaian non-profit ( http://www.nkafoundation.org/ ).  Our team was lucky enough to have our project selected for construction and we are now in the process of putting together our team of volunteers and fundraising money to cover materials and local labor.

The possibility of going to Ghana and being able to actually build is a dream come true for our team.  But it won’t happen without support from communities like the one that exists at Archinect.

We very much need financial help for this project to become a reality, even a small donation will go a long way.  Donations can be made via kickstarter ( Three-Two Kickstarter ).

More information on the project and volunteer opportunities can be found at http://www.threetwoworkshop.com

If you have any questions please feel free to e-mail us at threetwovilla@gmail.com and thank you very much for your support.
