So I'm looking at getting a Dell Precision laptop that has this graphics card in it:
Nvidia Quadro K1100M w/ 2GB GDDR5
However according to the Mcneel website link above, these Quadro cards with Windows 8 and 8.1 cause crashes due to driver issues. I was wondering if anyone here is running Rhino on Windows 8 or 8.1 with a Quadro card...is the crashing that serious?

No, I always have mantained that Quadros are worthless for what we do. Time and time again have they let me down. Get a laptop with a nice Geforce or ATI Radeon card (for much lesser money) and it should be fine.

I would steer clear if McNeel is reporting problems. There should be an AMD option on the laptop, go with it.
