Springing from SUSHISAMBA’S unique blend of Japanese, Brazilian, and Peruvian cuisine, music, and design; SUGARCANE raw bar grill is a new tapas-style restaurant located in Miami’s newly developing design district. The 4,200 square-foot restaurant/lounge features an 850 square-foot indoor/outdoor bar and three distinct kitchens: robata, hot and raw bar. Inspired by the fusion cuisine menu, the spirited design creates a sense of authenticity and history evocative of the Brazilian favela. Integrating organic textures, salvaged ironwork, aged wood floors, reclaimed claimed shutters, vintage ‘found objects’, graffiti art and modern design, the experience is both timeless and eclectic. Custom-designed banquettes, assorted tables and chairs, hand-painted Moroccan tiles, antique mirrors, and vintage fans create comfortable yet festive atmosphere. The dramatic 15-foot ceilings and elongated bars emphasize the openness of the space and encourage interaction between guests.

Notable elements include a back-lit wall behind the main bar which showcases the unique selection of wines, tequilas and sakes. The signature robata bar highlights the kitchen activity with its feature seating, adding to the energy of the dining experience. The variety of forms, styles and colors create a casual environment that complements the restaurant’s initiative: for guests to kick back, eat well and stay awhile.
