Women In Architecture
We were surprised at the findings of the 2016 survey, having naturally reached almost 50/50 in our practice. We believe in equal opportunities for all by rewarding skills and results rather than gender. Following publication of the annual survey, we held an internal discussion to encourage our female employees to share personal experiences they have faced. Retaining our female staff throughout their career is high on our agenda and our involvement in the campaign assures our female employees that we take the issues they face very seriously.
We aim to offer some of the best working conditions within the industry to retain and nurture talent, such as our generous maternity pay and flexible working conditions.
Our inclusive, open and collaborative working environment encourages personal growth and development. All employees are encouraged to develop their confidence and skills by sharing their ideas and encouraging discussion throughout the design process.
Throughout the growth of the practice, we have strived to retain our original essence: a positive, supportive working environment and great team atmosphere for everyone.
We are proud to have strong, female role models, Laura O’Hagan and Natalie Spraggon, in our management team, to inspire and lead our diverse workforce.
