MASS Design Group (MASS) focuses on the creation of innovative architecture, infrastructure, and planning in resource limited settings. We see design as a missing link in international aid, without which projects can suffer from inappropriate and detrimental infrastructure that fails those most in need. With offices in Boston and Kigali, Rwanda, MASS combines design and construction, capacity building, and research programs to redefine the impact design can have in aiding the delivery of services to the poor. Through interdisciplinary work, in fields sometimes unfamiliar with design, we develop innovative solutions ranging from unique buildings to the development of national standards and policies.
