admittingly, my blog has been a bit photo heavy as of late. this is to mask the lack of written insight. although i very much enjoy writing, some things just have to give. maybe the lack of time. maybe the lack of motivation. probably both.

    this past weekend in pictures:

    planes, trains, and closed quarters

    good company, okay thai food

    taking in the city

    our site

    MoMA

    some groovin

back to 75 deg and sunny, remembering why i live in LA

and in case anyone is wondering what i look like, ive been spotted by Diller + Scofidio...

MoMA to Gain Exhibition Space by Selling Adjacent Lot for $125 Million

"program is a 12 story mixed-use tower including 50,000sf of gallery space for MoMA. the new building will connect to the museums second, fourth, and fifth floor galleries. the new building should interface intelligently with the existing building (Taniguchi extension), considering urban massing, daylighting, and circulation."

that's an interesting challenge, dot. i'm curious to see how a studio full (10-15?) of strategies for interfac[ing] intelligently with the Taniguchi project.
