The Demarco Archive project brief was to design a building that would display the contents of Richard Demarcos collection. The site was located within the Rose Angle area of Dundee. The final solution focused on a design that had a positive connection to the existing area, connecting streets and providing outdoor public space. Within the building I explored various ideas of how to make the archive space more practical throughout all hours of the day. The final solution was a system that allowed the storage sections of the archive to slide between walls so that the floor space could be used for various other functions.
