Working closely alongside Peter McCaughey, director of WAVEparticle during my internship allowed the opportunity to design a series of 9 stainless steel sculptures. The forms are derived as smaller fragments of the larger Aspire sculpture designed by McCaughey. Through this collaboration I was able to design and develop the original models, create the drawings for manufacture and input into the discussions of location and foundations with architect and contractor. This project is what I describe as my first ‘conception to completion’.
