Waterfront tower

I am a lead designer of this project back to 2016, It is a international competition, we receive the third prize in this competition.

  1. This mix use design is located at the confluence of the river at the estuary, mouth of the sea, and the owner asked for the design of three superhigh rise buildings with office, hotel and apartment possibilities, and the podium on the ground floor is a commercial block.
  2. Due to the planning height control requirements, the tallest tower can only be located in the area where the site is farthest from the waterfront, while the two towers with lower height can be placed in the block near the waterfront. In order to maximize the line of sight of the waterfront and be able to adapt to the triangular site, the main tower adopts a triangular layout, which can optimize the line of sight of the tower, and nearly 40% of the flat area can obtain a direct waterfront view, while the square layout can only reach about 25%.
  3. The two waterfront blocks are connected into a whole by a continuous bridge, forming two different commercial forms and experiences of the street and the square, of which the square located in the center of the three towers is the core of the entire area, and the triangular plots divided by the urban road are seamlessly connected in three dimensions through the terrace-backwards, the corridor and the dotted red houseboats to create a courtyard, while also extending the urban public space from the waterfront to the center of the site.
