Summary

SENIOR ARCHITECT: Experience with various project scales which range in size from large mixed-use towers to intricate contemporary residences. As the lead architect I have directed projects from conceptu- al ideas to final products by leading teams, developing and maintaining work plans, meeting with cli- ents and coordinating with consultants. As part of the team development I mentor junior staff, maintain schedules of deliverables, integrate workflows that integrate computer modeling techniques within the office standards.

Develop projects from Site Planning Submission through and to Construction Documents. Projects include repurposed light industrial buildings to Mixed Use Multifamily Residential projects including some in Historic Districts which required special review submissions.

Senior Project Architect at CetraRuddy, New York, NY  2015 -  2016 (1 year)

Design and development of a Mixed-Use Tower in Hudson Yards. The project includes Parking, Restaurants, Event/Exhibit Floors, a Hotel and Residential Units at the top, as well as amenity floors throughout the tower supporting the various uses. The challenge to design a tower on a irregular site, the egress network of stairs, and the Event spaces at the bottom which required special a special structural design. In the Hudson Yards Development Zone.

•                 541 West 37th Street Tower, NY, NY, 600,000 GSF, 700’ Mixed-Use Tower in Hudson Yards. Tasks include:

Senior Project Architect at Pfeiffer Partners Architects, Los Angeles, CA/ New York, NY   2013 - 2015 (2 years)

Lead architect for a $80M Performing Arts complex that functioned both as a Community Performance Space and Teaching Facility. This project was designed and developed between staffs in three cities, New York, Washington and Los Angeles. The New York office focused on the development of the exterior envelope system and incorporated façade systems that had special thermal and acoustic performance requirements servicing the five performance venues as well as a broadcasting studio. This is a high-performance rain screen was clad in metal, masonry and glass. To orchestrate work between three offices and numerous consultants we created the team’s work plan based on initial concept models. It was continually updated as the project evolved. This 178,000 GSF addition and renovation was a LEED Silver project.

Projects include:

•                 Prince George Performing Arts Center, Largo, MD: 800 seat existing proscenium theater, a 300-seat proscenium theater, a 150-seat, black box theater and a 125 seat Recital Hall.

Tasks include:

-                 Work Plan for staffing and schedule for 3 teams in 3 cities.

-                 Coordination of Mechanicals that have special acoustic requirements.

-                 Energy model with various Exterior Envelope strategies and envelope consultant.

-                 Place of assembly life safety analysis as part of construction documents.

-                 Working with theater consultants and integrating those requirements into drawings.

-                 Value engineering coordinating with Cost Estimator

Senior Project Architect at Rafael Viñoly Architects, New York, NY   2010 - 2013 (3 years)

An extremely challenging $1.25 billion, 700,000 square foot mixed-use residential high-rise tower in midtown Manhattan. I managed the production of design documents and was the lead design coordinator for our team which included a staff of ten architects and many consultants. This project utilized a fast-track procurement/ construction process requiring intense design and documentation efforts. There are many were non-standard which required special testing. The vertical circulation system is made up of 5 single shaft, high-speed eleva- tors and one scissors

Projects include:

•                 432 Park Avenue Residential Tower - Mixed Use Tower, 1,400 Feet, 600,000 SF

•                 Washington University, Center for Biological Imaging - Academic, Master Plan, 1,422,000 SF

Tasks include:

-                 Coordination of staffing and schedule our team.

-                 Preparation of agendas and meeting minutes with consulting engineers.

-                 Executive Summaries to maintain projects on schedule and within budgets.

-                 Coordinated with visualization team and model shop for presentations.

CetraRuddy, New York, NY, US, Senior Project Architect/Manager

PROJECT ARCHITECT/MANAGER: For a mixed use tower in Hudson Yards from SD to DD. We are presently filing with the New York City DOB. The tower height is 700 feet with a gross square footage of 540,000sf. The mixed used tower has 4 below grade levels supporting three uses above grade. They include Restaurants, Exhibition Spaces, a 160 key hotel, 127 Residential Rental Units and Amenities serving both the Hotel and Residence. Completion date 2019. The project has been documented fully in Revit. I have overseen the daily schedules and tasks of 5 architects, coordinate with Mechanical and Structural Engineers. The residential micro units comply with FHA and ANSI 2010.

Pfeiffer, a Studio of Perkins Eastman, New York, NY, US, Project Architect

Senior Project Architect for the renovation and expansion of Prince George’s Community College, Queen Anne Academic Center. The academic center will provide an educational environment that will allow the College to create a comprehensive Liberal Arts academic performance and communication curriculum. The new Academic Center will support and expand major departmental components to include Theatre, Dance, Music, Mass Communications, Communication and Public Relations and Journalism spaces. The new Queen Anne Academic Center will retain an existing theatre building and expand the facility through a 136,545 GSF addition. the new building has a 5 new theaters including a Black Box Experimental Theater, a Main Stage, an Auditorium, a Recital Hall and a Dance Space. Cost Approx.: $80,000,000 Completion: 2018

I led a team of young architects and coordinated work with many consultants to assemble bid documents for this project. The project was divided between offices in New Yow and Los Angeles. The 5 Venues were primarily developed by the LA office and we developed the Core and Shell. This is a LEED Silver Project.

Managed an extremely challenging six hundred million dollar, 700,000 square foot mixed-use residential high-rise tower in Manhattan, New York, which is currently in construction. I managed the production of design documents and was the lead design coordinator on our team and managed a staff of ten architects. This project utilized a fast-track procurement/construction process requiring intense design and documentation efforts. I also managed a 1,422,000 square foot master plan at Washington University’s, Center for Biological Imaging.
