About 

My name is Xinrui Zhong, and I am currently employed in New York City.

Over the course of my 2 years career in New York City, I have been working on several residential & commercial projects from SD phase to CA phase, which made me become very familiar with the design delivery process. I have developed a strong ability to deal with a wide variety of design & construction challenges through my practice, and always praised as talented, reliable, and also active by my co-workers and management.

 I hold a M. Arch degree from Washington University in St. Louis, and currently I am working on my path to become a registered architect. I had my IDP hours all approved, and already passed 6 ARE exams (CDS, SPD, PPP, SD, SS, BS).

Interpret client's programmatic requirements into an integrated functional design which delivers innovative architectural solutions. Once the schematic design proposals have been approved, I work with the senior project architect to develop detailed drawings and to compile project specifications. During construction, I visit sites to check if the construction is in general conformance with the design documents. I also liaises with construction professionals.

Edit the book “Rebuilding the American City” by David Gamble & Patricia Heyda which examined 15 contemporary urban design cases in American downtown area. Produce the key analysis drawings of each precedent study for the book and the exhibition posters.
