What is IMAGIC WEAVE®

The transparent media façade IMAGIC WEAVE® uses an infinite number of individually programmable colors to create anything from simple graphical images to live video content coverage of sporting and cultural events.  The outdoor/indoor system (IP67) offers various options to meet the challenging requirements of architects and owners, allowing individual large-scale landscape media design.  The transparent media façade system is available in two different LED technologies:  THT and SMT, making the system adaptable to project specific requirements such as color mixing, angle of radiation and brightness.  By attaching slim LED-profiles to the reverse side of the wire mesh, the uniform and clean look of the façade is maintained at all times. 

Flexible Design at Stade Pierre Mauroy
Due to the modular structure of the flexible façade system, mesh panels can completely or partially be designed as a transparent media façade. At 20m high and 120m wide, the main façade of Stade Pierre Mauroy, the media façade IMAGIC WEAVE® covers 70,000 pixels of the entire surface. Within the whole façade there are three different resolution areas: a rectangular high-resolution screen for promotional videos; an elongated medium resolution screen suitable for a ticker to display sports results and a large background screen with a low resolution, which can be used for graphics or creating various lighting moods.

To demonstrate its quality even in bright sunlight the media façade system IMAGIC WEAVE® is available with a maximum brightness > 11000 nit (cd / m²). Light sensors ensure that the media façade system will continuously be adapted to the different lighting conditions by day and night.

In total 4.3 km of powerful LED profiles were installed on 2046 m² of Haver & Boecker  (W.S. Tyler’s parent company) Architectural Mesh at Stade Pierre Mauroy´s main façade. The installation of the LED and wire mesh components, as well as the pre-installed power and control racks for the media façade, was carried out by our technical team.

Easy operation of IMAGIC WEAVE® Media Façade

The operation of the IMAGIC WEAVE® media façade is very easy and can be performed from the control room or wirelessly via smartphone and/or tablet PC. In addition of the operation, the remote maintenance of the media façade can be done from anywhere in the world. The three areas of the media façade at Stade Pierre Mauroy can be controlled separately or can be used as single units.
