Brooklyn, NY
This project involved the complete reorganization of the kitchen, living, dining, and bath areas of a single floor coop apartment in Brooklyn Heights. Since space was limited, the design ties the three main functions together through a common language of materials and forms. Exposed open boxes in the dining area provide storage for objects, while a significant amount of below-counter storage serves as both a buffet and work surface for the dining area and kitchen. The sensibility of the project is delicate - much like the nature of the careful work that the clients do - but is confident, sturdy, and materially sustainable.
