Wellness isn't a destination, it's a journey. As such, the design of the Wellness Center attempts to reflect that journey by allowing individuals to progress and flow through spaces in a meaningful manner. Along the way, moments of pause and places to relax are provided.
Acoustic comfort is essential to creating a relaxing environment. In addition to full acoustic partitions, the entire layout was driven by four programmatic categories: active public, passive public, active private and passive private. The required programs were categorized and clustered to create areas of specific activity before being sequenced into the space and physically separated by circulation space. As patrons move further into the spa and towards the service rooms, the atmosphere becomes increasingly quieter and more tranquil.
