Overview- The renovation for the 2,000-SF offices of a Non-Governmental Organization in Midtown Manhattan which included a renovation of the waiting room, reception area, a conference room, and office suites.

The existing space was composed of two different zones: an inner zone with low ceilings and no natural lighting and a peripheral zone with tall ceilings and large windows facing the East River. The new design articulates this zoning pro¬gram and introduces a built-in display system that acts as a transitional element between inner and peripheral zones.

The public area features a palette of walnut wood and frosted glass surfaces, custom-built workstations and reception desk with lightweight seating. The office suites are bright, open and of generous propor¬tions for collaborative work.
