The design began with Zaha Hadid’s design for the Cardiff Bay Opera House. Angela McCrory and I developed Hadid’s original scheme, resolving structural issues created by the practice spaces  within the design. We further developed the raised piazza to serve as a connection from the bay to the interior of the opera house, as well as serving as a platform for exterior venues. Wall sections, cost estimates and lighting plans were all considered with this continuation of the opera house. Bently Microstation, Rhino, Illustrator, Photoshop.
