The National Center for Environmentally Intelligent Design was designed as a living, learning, and working environment that teaches by doing. This center will house exhibits that highlight the detrimental affects that urban sprawl has created over the course of the last one hundred years. It will also house a research facility and apartments for the researchers. Each piece of the building is designed in a different type of metal to differentiate the various time periods but connected through the material type. The housing is designed in brick to designate it as a separate function from the rest of the museum. AutoCAD 2010, Sketchup 6
