Region City is the future business district in Gothenburg, Sweden, and the heart in a region connecting Oslo-Gothenburg-Copenhagen with high speed trains. A region with 8 million inhabitants.
The central station has to be bigger and visitors as well as regional inhabitants need better accessibility and improved possibilities to visit and meet in Gothenburg. Jernhusen links the older city districts to create a vibrant area with a mix between office spaces, retail, apartments and public spaces.
The firms collaborating on the design proposals are a combination of Norwegian, Swedish and Danish firms;Reiulf Ramstad, Kanozi, EMA.
