This experimental project is the product of the Building Information Management course at Texas Tech University. The design focused on creating a contemporary highrise with special attention to the mechanical and structural systems within the building. The building would be designed for multi-use purposes including spaces such as a restaurant, loading dock, offices, and common lobby space among others. Each member of three person designed a concept model. We then ran the models through the program DProfiler in order to analyze which design would be the most energy and cost effective. The challenge during the design was to find a way to allow for all the building systems to work harmoniously together within the designed mass.
